霊 (Rei-) means something mysterious, miraculous and sacred.
気 (Ki) means the atmosphere, vapour, air, breath, vital force, energy, wind.
Reiki can be defined as a universal and sacred energy of the universe which sustains all life, also being a subtle, refined level of ki.   Ki has a variety of names all over the world from ancient times. It is called ‘Chi/Qi’ in China, ‘Ki’ in Japan and Korea, ‘प्राण-Prana’ in India, ‘Mana’ in Hawaii and Polynesia, '
རླུང-Lung’ in Tibet, ‘Orenda’ of Iroquois, ‘אור-Ohr’ in Kabbalah, etc. It is the essential energy for all beings to exist and live healthy and happy lives.

Usui Mikao Sensei (1865-1926) was bestowed with the profound insight of Reiki in 1922 at the age of 57 when he entered 安心立命 (anshin ritsumei - spiritual peace) while fasting and meditating on Mt Kurama in Kyoto; then founding the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai in Tokyo to spread his knowledge and help others to heal and, with the ultimate goal of entering anshin ritsumei.

靈氣療法-REIKI RYOHO

霊気療法 (Reiki Ryoho - Universal Energy Healing Method) is a Japanese healing art and path to self-realization, to improve and balance the mind and body by channeling the inexhaustible and unlimited energy of the universe.  The practice consists of balancing, cleansing, concentration and meditation practices.

It emphasizes the importance of correct living in the here and now and balancing the relationships between the physical body, mental attitudes, and emotional states; to be here, now, fully, and with compassion.

As a 道 (path), the practice of Reiki Ryoho aims towards a state of anshin ritsumei, “inner peace which comes from knowing the purpose of our lives and doing joyfully that which we must do”.

靈氣治療-REIKI CHIRYO

靈氣治療 (Reiki Chiryo - Reiki Treatment Session) A Reiki session is an individualized and non-invasive experience, practiced in a traditional Japanese spirit. This is a process of growth, which may open a wide range of experiences. ORIGINS…

Perry grew up in Toronto studying martial arts, music, art and meditation since the age of 4. Over the years, the path has lead to many great teachers. A great turning point in life was at 15, meeting teachers in music and martial arts that provided a very fertile ground that inspired deep discipline, introspection and self-discovery that continues to this day. Many intense years of piano and composition studies with Dr Henry Becker, in a lineage going back to Beethoven, opened his eyes not only to the world of sound, also to the tradition and wisdom of our history that we now have. Grandmaster Son Myungsoo (student of General Choi Hong Hi, founder of Taekwondo) was the first to teach him the nature of Ki and it’s application. A few years later he was able to study Xingyiquan, Baguazhang and Taoist Qigong with Grandmaster Liang Shouyu, providing learning and practices that evolved understanding of the connection of the physical, mental and spiritual existence of life. This lead to seeking and learning many meditative traditions, in particular of Tibet, Japan, China and early traditions of SWANA, especially the Essenes. Continuing along this path, a pilgrimage was made to the Far East in Japan and Korea, delving into the practices of Soto Zen and Seon Buddhism, enjoying time especially at Baekdamsa. Soon after this period, meeting a teacher that helped bring all this practice into a cohesive understanding of this life’s path. Delving into study of the Kabbalah, Psych-K, NLP and Neidan, many different Western healing modalities and CrossFit for the next few years, and began philosophical writings. Opening CrossFit Lugal in 2016. Began studies in the Gendai Reiki Ho lineage during this time, eventually finding Shihan Paul Lara and completing Reiki training in Sensei Inamoto Hyakuten’s Komyo Reiki Do lineage. Received empowerment and transmission into Yuthok’s Anuttarayoga Tantra from Dr. Nida Chenagtsang.

Understanding that realizing and expressing innate potential, to be illuminated, is dependent upon wisdom and experience on all levels of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual existence of the self; and continuing along this path of discipline and discovery to cultivate stillness, presence and compassion to be a complete human, live a complete life, and help others wherever and whenever possible.

The dojo sits in the heart of Lugal, quite literally, and can be seen as the inner heart of Lugal. In Sumerian, this would be 𒊮. The idea of CrossFit, Martial Arts and movement in general, focus on movement within movement, eventually leading to stillness within movement. Within this inner heart of Lugal, in Okuso Dojo, through Reiki and meditation, the focus evolves into movement within stillness, eventually leading to stillness within stillness.
